Summary: Appetite Media – Community Manager

Reporting to the SVP of Programming, the Community Manager will develop and execute growth strategies for the company’s flagship brands.  The Community Manager will be responsible for designing and executing tactical plan to build the company’s flagship brands across all relevant social media.

The Community Manager will create and optimize the community contributor and event strategies to build a steady flow of content and utility to our brand audiences. The community publishing strategy will include all relevant digital formats and will traverse all relevant social platforms.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with executive oversight (president/cro) to define short and long-term goals for the company’s flagship brands.
  • Design and execute an ongoing marketing strategy to build corporate and consumer awareness for the brands and grow social audiences
  • Design the community content strategy for our flagship brands – including prioritization of activity based on executive direction
  • Generate new ideas for social content and community engagement
  • Build ongoing calendar of content and events to build and maintain user engagement
  • Collaborate with editorial and audience leads to foster the social audience of developing brands with a mix of content and event-based marketing efforts.
  • Work with corporate marketing and audience development/marketing/edit to determine ongoing collaboration process. Schedule ongoing meetings and reviews as appropriate.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders on opportunities to cross promote and utilize community members (Integrated Marketing and Influencer Marketing)
  • Track and report weekly on community performance based on audience growth and engagement
  • Work with Audience Development to set and report on performance benchmarks

Education/Work Experience:

  • Experience with all social platforms, publishing and analytics
  • Ability to self-manage, juggle multiple priorities, in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to pick up new technologies quickly
  • Proven track record of working in a collaborative team environment
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Five+  years of professional experience in digital marketing
