Summary: Appetite Media – Programmatic Sales Specialist

We’re seeking a highly motivated Programmatic Sales Specialist to join our Programmatic Sales team.  The role is responsible for prospecting new clients/deals, creating Deal IDs, managing and optimizing existing PMP deals, trafficking new PMP deals, compiling reports, and developing and managing strong relationships both internally and externally.  This position serves as the liaison between the Sales team and all other departments in the development and execution of our Programmatic deals. This role includes analysis, planning, research, project management and brainstorming.  The focus of this position is to maintain our programmatic partnerships by maximizing yield across our entire network.  The ideal candidate will have a background working with Ad Tech, Ad Operations, and Ad Sales – including but not limited to SSPs/DSPs, digital ad servers (DFP), and analytics/reporting systems.

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish relationships with trusted agency partners, trading desks, and clients directly.
  • Analyze our programmatic business using the tools that you are an expert.  That includes but is not limited to, DFP.
  • Reporting both scheduled and ad hoc on revenue and delivery across our network detailing each partner’s metrics.
  • Manage PMP Direct deals relationships and process.
  • Manages day to day relationships with Index, OpenX, Rubicon, Google, and more.
  • Help manage the monthly payouts process for our network of sites of over 1,500 domains.

Education/Work Experience:

  • Strong Programmatic experience and knowledge.
  • 1-2 years experience in relevant position in Online Advertising/Marketing.
  • Expert level Excel modeling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Intimate knowledge of various SSPs including but not limited to Rubicon, ADX.
  • Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person, over email and on the phone.
  • BA/BS College degree strongly preferred.
  • Detailed oriented and highly motivated.
